Springtime on the Potomac

As Springtime comes to the Potomac we see
patches of white on the mountainside. These patches
are not Winter's snow, they are Spring's first promises.

Cock of this Walk

the best part of taking a ride on the gravel roads in rural ND is seeing the beauties of
nature . This day it happened to be a cock pheasant in all his glory. As we watched
him we caught a glimpse of something else moving. He had his family with him! As
they scurried off into the tall grasses they were quickly hidden but Dad stayed behind
long enough for us to marvel at the beautiful colors he displayed as the sun shone on
him.

What Was I Thinking?

Does the phrase "enough is enough" resonate
when you gaze upon this maternal scene? Would you believe
that "enough" isn't all? There are four more
waiting for their turn.

Beauty from Within

Have you ever stopped and looked at the ordinary?
Have you paused to consider the "weed"?
Could it be that it's a "flower" out of place?

down on the farm

to those of you who were raised on a farm, you know that this picture represents work, play, life and preservation of life

Cherished memories of finding the newborn calf or foal, playing in the hay and falling thru the hay chute, practicing to become the next singing star, and milking old "Brendle" in the dead of winter have been made in this old barn.
